At the end of October 2018, the Chancellor announced his budget for next tax year 2019-20. This included acceptance of the Low Pay Commissions National Minimum Wage recommendations.

New rates that will apply from 1st April 2019 areas follows:

National Living Wage 25+ Year  Old Rate

£8.21 per hour

21-24 Year Old Rate

£7.70 per hour

18-20 Year Old Rate

£6.15 per hour

16-17 Year Old Rate

£4.35 per hour

Apprentice Rate

£3.90 per hour

Accommodation Offset

£7.55 per day
