The government have announced today (23rd Sept 2021) that MTD for Self-Assessment has been delayed by a year until April 2024.

MTD is one of the biggest changes in reporting your taxes in everyone’s lifetime and many tax payers haven’t addressed the issues that it will have on them.

Digital record keeping is something that we have encouraged our clients to keep for many years so that the jump to MTD will not be as costly as it may end up being.

Although the delay is welcome amongst almost everyone you still need to start to take action sooner than later.
