HMRC
is warning employers about a problem with their online PAYE service, which
includes failure to supply employers with this year’s P9 tax code notices.
These notices advise employees know what their code is for the current year.

As a
result of this, anyone with employees may see an increase in P6 notices over
the forthcoming month. In addition to this, HMRC is aware that some notices are
not showing the latest position and is looking into this as a matter of
urgency.
